Minding Sand is<br\/>her debut film, filmed on the beaches of Sierra Leone, where she lived and worked<br\/>before conducting her master\u2019s fieldwork. van Erp\u2019s interests lie in how ecological<br\/>and social concerns are often two sides of the same coin.
