The documentary depicts the lives of three women in a village in Uttar Pradesh, India. In a patriarchal society, it’s uncommon for women to sit outside or take a leisurely walk. This film follows Geeta, Usha, and Lucy, who are housewives. They spend their days working and eagerly await the evening, when they can go out and escape in their imaginative world temporarily. The filmmaker aims to explore the freedom of expression for women in both private and public spheres.

Payal is a student at the National Institute of Design in India, studying Film and Video Communication. Originally from a village in Uttar Pradesh, India, she believes strongly in the power of storytelling and self-expression. She sees film, poetry, and human connection as ways to share stories with the world. She has started to explore filmmaking, understanding the privileges and responsibilities that come with it. Her projects are deeply personal, often inspired by her own experiences, and they focus on women, children, and spaces.
